Reviews
Was a bit messy during check-in, they need to get that straight but, the staff fixed in and did the best they could. A really cozy place. Spent the day at the beach club and having drinks and cold beer on a reserved sunbed. Had a wonderful stay and also 4 course dinner. Prices are what to expect on a place like so it’s ok. Recommend to stay and also add the day pass for the coco beach club
Super nice spot. Not a traditional spa experience. Feels more like a beach club (of course) but still very calm and pleasant. Good food for being in a venue like this. Rooms are very small but so cozy, and we got the ocean view one, felt like a painting right next to our bed. The saunas are pretty cold and people do sit with their swimsuit straight on the wood. Also the saunas and pier people that are not guest access and hang in the pier and sauna which feels very odd , not nice at all. Makes it crammed and can’t leave any valuables.
Fantastic rooms and super comfy beds! The breakfast buffet and bar service were perfectly fine, no complaints there. The service staff were very polite and friendly. However, it took 2 hours for us to get our main course (and almost 3 hours in total until we got the check). This could easily have been forgiven if they’d offered free drinks or snacks, but instead all we got was an apology, which doesn’t mean much when you’ve paid so much for a premium service. The location was great and the pools were nice, but I wouldn’t come back for an overnight stay because of how long it took to get food (maybe I’d come back just for the pools).
Having heard good things about this hotel, I decided to treat myself and a friend to a one-night stay with the all-inclusive "Totally Coco" package for our birthdays. We had a fantastic time and we were consistently impressed by the great service, super comfortable room, the lovely ambience of both the outdoor pool and the restaurant and bar areas, and the beautiful location at Lidingö. The four-course dinner which was included with the package was very tasty and we received excellent service from staff. When we mentioned that we were quite hungry, they thoughtfully brought extra bread right away so that we didn't have to wait for the starters. We opted for wine pairings with the South/Central American-inspired dishes and while they were all very well selected, a sommelier on hand to give us some more background on each wine would have been nice. Poolside service was also very pleasant although we had to wait a bit for our drinks on one occasion - most of the time they arrived quickly, so I will chalk this up to the Saturday afternoon peak. Even though there was a live DJ at the pool, the mood was more relaxed than clubby. Even though it was spring, and not a particularly hot day at 10-12°C, the sunbeds enclosed within glass walls around the pool were warm and very comfortable. While the selection at breakfast was huge, it was quite crowded and some dishes took a little while for the staff to replenish. Although we thought it was supposed to be open until 11, quite a few of the dishes had been removed by 10:30. Probably best to come early. Still, we left very happy and had time for another morning dip in the pool before checking out. In summary, while there were some minor points that could be improved, we both had a fantastic time at Ellery and would love to come again.
