The hotel is absolutely lovely. The rooms are so clean and nice. Great gym space for a hotel. And good breakfast. The restaurant however has really bad service. I was ignored for half of my meal with empty glasses and plates sat for 35 minutes and nobody asked if I wanted anything else. I had to ask for the bill and gave no tip in the end.

Hagastrand Spa truly exceeded our expectations. I visited with a friend and we were both impressed by how spacious, new and beautifully designed the spa is. Everything felt clean, modern and very well maintained. We really enjoyed the different saunas, the heated pool, the snow room and the calm atmosphere by Brunnsviken. The highlight was definitely the sauna ritual, led by a very pleasant and professional sauna master. It felt thoughtful, relaxing and unique, especially because part of the experience continued in the pool. The only things I found less convenient were the phone policy and the lockers. Your phone is locked inside a special pouch, so if you want to use it you need to go back to reception each time, which can be a bit annoying. Also, the lockers are not numbered, and since you cannot take a photo to remember where you placed your things, it can be confusing. Overall, Hagastrand is a beautiful, high quality spa experience in Stockholm. Despite those small practical details, I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.

Upon discovering my Airbnb in downtown Stockholm had a video camera recording my family inside the residence, I made a last minute booking here. We rented two rooms on the club level. Everything was amazing! The sauna, the breakfast, dinner and staff were amazing. We took Ubers to downtown and voxholm (took ferry back to downtown) and it worked out just perfectly. One very minor inconvenience was the club level coffee and drinks weren’t available all day. It closes around 5pm. But, overall, I highly recommend this property!

The renovation is very well done. The hotel feels brand new, and the rooms are fresh, modern, and comfortable. The location is also a big plus, especially if you enjoy walking or being close to nature during the summer. That said, the overall experience fell short, mainly from a service perspective. At check-in, there was no introduction to the hotel amenities or restaurants, which you would normally expect at this level. As a Platinum Elite member, I also didn’t receive a welcome note in the room, which felt like a basic detail that was missed. I cannot recall in my 8+ years of being Elite member any Bonvoy hotel that missed leaving a note and small amenity in the form of something local as a touch point. What stood out more was the general attitude of the staff. Throughout the stay, and as shared by two colleagues traveling with me, the service felt cold and disengaged. Staff rarely acknowledged guests or greeted us, whether in the morning or evening, which made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. First night's bar experience left a lot to be desired, kept us waiting for 10 mins before the bartender appeared; then disappeared again. we couldn't be bothered and had all our meals and drinks outside the hotel for the rest of the three nights. The Club Lounge was particularly disappointing. It’s marketed as a lounge, but in reality, it feels more like a basic common area of posh hostel. The offering was limited to banana chips, candies, and a small fridge with water and fruit sparkling drinks. There was no Happy Hour or any meaningful food selection. If you’re paying extra for lounge access, it’s simply not worth it. Management would benefit from looking at how proper Club Lounges are run globally. Breakfast was average at best. It had the usual spread, but nothing stood out. The scrambled eggs were watery and bland, and the rest was the standard mix of sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, cold meat and factory cheese. SPA access is not included even for Platinum members, and given the mixed reviews, I decided to skip it. No discount or a tour of the spa was mentioned. Overall, while the hotel itself and the location are strong, the service and overall guest experience need significant improvement to meet expectations. Hagastrand as of right now is not what it represents and charges for.

I went for the day spa on a weekday. I love spas and I’ve tried most in Stockholm - in my opinion this is one of the best. The facilities and very clean and the design is beautiful. It was very quiet when I attended which added to the relaxed experience. Facilities include a steam room / hammam, a cold room, a herbal sauna, and two sound bath experiences which I thought were amazing. The sauna ritual was also super cool and unlike anything I’ve experienced at a spa. I also liked that they enforce being phone-free by placing it in a locked pouch. As a phone addict I appreciated that I was forced to enjoy the experience without my phone! Wanting to gatekeep this, but the experience was so good I just had to leave a review!
