We had a wonderful dinner at Restaurant Eld. It was our first time trying moose, and it exceeded our expectations! The meat was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. It was a unique and memorable dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent. Restaurant Eld offers a beautifully modernized version of authentic Swedish cuisine, combining traditional flavors with a contemporary touch. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special Swedish dining experience.
Beautiful restaurant. Top notch food. Highly recommend. Got the moose marrow, but trout apps. Moose tenderloin. Beautifully plated and sauces all stellar. Flavors were bright and full bodied. Ended with honey cake. More of a cream dessert than cake. Very pretty … just if you’re dairy sensitive… this isn’t a cake. It’s mostly just cream. We originally ordered thinking we could scrape aside the cream. Something to be aware of!
We arrived having just arrived on the island from our hotel. We were in a group of 8, so not an easy challenge to find somewhere without a reservation during a busy lunchtime. We had a very warm welcome by front of house and our table service was delightful. I ordered galushki which was as I learned a traditional Ukrainian dish. Most of my group ordered the meat balls which they all said were fantastic. When our waitress who was so smiley and lovely asked us how our food was, my reply was “this is the most delicious mushroom dish I have ever eaten”. She explained that the chef was Ukrainian and it was a Ukrainian inspired dish with a Swedish twist. Before I knew it, the chef arrived and introduced herself as Irene. She walked me through the dish, including how she spent 2 months perfecting it. Well Irene, I can say that was 2 months well spent! Thank you for introducing me to your homeland, both by your personal warmth and through your cooking. I can’t wait to explore more. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. I wish we were here for longer so I could try more of the menu.
In one word-AMAZING! Creative cocktail ideas inspired by the Nordic mythology. The food consisted of very well thought ingredients. All of those made an unforgettable impression. I recommend visiting the museum first and then have some nice Red deer tatar, wonderful main or just a dessert. All of them were fabulous.
Wow, this was the best experience ever. If you ever visit Stockholm you CAN’T miss this restaurant. The service and food was out of this world. We had resevetions for another location but on our way out of the museum we checked the menu and we had to try at lest one item (the raindeer bone marrow appetizer) but next thing you know with the awesome personable service and perfect food and presentation, amibance and view this place is a MUST COME. Thank you chef Irene and Alejandro for this amazing epxirience. We will come back!!
