We were looking for a place with local cuisine and stumbled upon Mom’s Kitchen and it was definitely a great spot! They offer food ready to take away but if you wish to stay and eat there they will warm it up for you. We had the meatballs and they were great!
Friendly shop attendant who explains dishes. Good range of traditional Swedish food options. Tried the minced beef with mushroom gravy and roast veg. The gravy was very flavourful and they gave us lots of it. Good pricing, especially at lunch. Comes with free free flow salad with a simple mustard dressing, and a crispbread with your lunch. Has more seats than you'd expect for a small shop. Tucked away on a quiet street!
Such a comfort place I keep coming back to 💕 Located in the Östermalm area, it is a perfect lunch spot in between exploring this island. No matter what you are craving for, this place will offer you the dish you would find difficult to forget. Trust me 😌 And yes, my personal favourite is the infamous Köttbullar Gräddsås (Swedish meatballs) They have a lunch option available on weekdays (not sure about weekends) when you can get: main dish + side salad + drink (only water I think?) and a piece of crisp bread 😊 Incredibly kind and friendly personnel, homemade comfort food and amazing location - not to be missed in Stockholm ✨
Really enjoyed this place. I had the meatballs with mashed potatoes and berry sauce and everything tasted great, proper homemade comfort food. The mashed potatoes were very creamy, the meatballs were flavorful, and the sauce worked perfectly with the dish. The staff was also very kind and welcoming. I even got some extra mashed potatoes, which honestly made my day a little better. Nice atmosphere, tasty food, and a place that feels genuine. I’d definitely come back.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and truly captured the essence of traditional Stockholm cuisine. Every dish felt homemade and full of flavor. What made the experience even more special was the service. The gentleman who attended us was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. He made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was also fantastic, especially because of the music choice it created such a great vibe that we almost felt like dancing while eating! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic food, a warm and friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. I will definitely come back!
