Description
Welcome to Stockholm and to GAMLA STAN - where the medieval Stockholm meets the modern Capital! We believe that local Experiences require local Guides. Meet Sophie: a born ”Stockholmer” with many years experience as a Guide, who is currently studying to become an authorised Stockholm Guide.
This Old Town Walking Tour is a historic tour experience where you not only learn new facts about our Old Town, but also about Stockholm and Sweden in general + a touch on mutual Nordic history and unions. Sophie tells you facts and stories about the Old Town's past & present. On this tour, we cover Stockholm from its founding in the 1200's to its present form. By showing you historic and present pictures at the different stops, the stories come more to life.
The tour is efficient and informative - you will learn a lot!
Starting point - Birger Jarls statue
Finishing point - Royal Palace
We make around ten stops. At our last stop, we enjoy a mini 'Fika' (Swedish sweet snack) together. After the tour has ended, you can take a photo of Sophie's list of hidden gems/local recommendations in town (restaurants, ”Fika”, budget friendly options) - don't miss it!
