Description
We start the experience with a city sightseeing tour to the highlights of Stockholm:
- The City Hall ,venue for the world famous Nobel Prize annual Banquet ,
-The Royal Theatre ( Dramaten) ,the Rikstag ( the Swedish Parliament )
- and scenic seaside boulevards
*Then, we discover the unique Jewish heritage sites in the city.We hear the story of Raoul Wallenberg , the Swedish diplomat who saved thousands of Jews during ww2 .
*We visit his memorial and stop at the Great Synagogue building ( 1870) with Assyrian exterior.
We continue the panoramic drive and take a walk in the Old Town ( Gamla Stan), admire the colorful medieval townhouses and great Square ( Stortorget) , stop by the Nobel museum.
Then , we get a chance to take a look at the Royal Palace and the Royal guards .
After , it is time for a coffee break with the locals !
Then , we board a ferry to Djurgarden island the lush green city park where we visit the Vasa museum.
The historic Vasa ,is about the warship which sunk during its maiden voyage in 1628.
The flagship of the Imperial Navy was commissioned by KIng Gustavus Adolfus as part of a military expenssion in a war with Poland , the Baltic states during the 17th century.
Today, we could admire the fine restauration of beautiful ornaments on the ship.
We end the tour with a transfer to the hotel or the cruise terminal.
