Tried this as an experiment when finding myself travelling solo unexpectedly, to not sit alone in an hotel room, and to save a little money in an otherwise very expensive city—and I am utterly enchanted. The staff, the fellow travellers, the facilities: all well above expectation. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, there are sensible facilities such as lockers (bring your own wee padlock!) and sockets to charge stuff in lockers and by the beds. Lots of character in the layout and plenty of common-room and kitchen space. Free pasta and coffee in the reception-come-cafe are nice touches. Also the non-for-profit ethos: bravo! And I love sitting in your courtyard with a beer. Highly recommended even for the more ‘mature’ traveller!
This hostel was exceptionally clean consistently over my stay. Good communal areas and kitchen, most of it is underground which is not ideal but obviously not much you can do. I was in a pod which was comfy but it was advertised as having ‘natural light’ which it didn’t, and it would have been helpful to know about the no shoes inside rule as I would have brought flip flops! Other than that, a good (if expensive) hostel. Excellent location too.
Good hostel, rooms are a little small, but there is a lot of common space. There is also a free sauna, which is nice to use. Location is pretty good, about 10 minutes from the main station. Not very social
Great location and affordable price close to central station. My only complaint was that my bed in the 8 bed dorm was on an exterior wall by the street and not soundproof at all- the hostel itself has quiet hours but I didn’t sleep well because of noise from the street and random drunk men talking loudly outside at midnight. Only stayed one night so didn’t explore much of the communal spaces beyond the kitchen and common rooms, but what I did see was pretty nice and well maintained.
This was my first hostel experience, and honestly it was amazing. The hostel staff were very kind, friendly, and always helpful. I didn’t have any problems during my stay. The location was perfect, only about 5 minutes away from all kinds of public transportation and very close to everything in the city. Most importantly, they had really fun events and a great social atmosphere. Thank you for everything 🙂
