Restaurant Wedholms Fisk
Stockholm
Avis
Wedholm Fisk has a strong reputation, and the starters justified it, the crayfish soup in particular is worth the visit on its own. Service was warm and attentive throughout. The mains were a disappointment, though. Both the turbot and the halibut arrived overcooked. This is a kitchen that serves fish the traditional Swedish way, with simply melted butter rather than a constructed sauce, and that approach only works when the fish itself is flawless. At this price point, I’d expect that. Instead the dish read as bland and dated rather than confidently minimalist. The style is formal, with a buttoned-up, old-money vibe.
Food was nice. Just nice, not superb, like I expect to get for the top tier prices they charge. Clean, tidy, friendly and professional staff. All ingredients are there, still, it was rather meeting place for the rich, than celebration of food. One time is enough.
A super amazing experience at one of the best Swedish restaurants. The menu is rich with options. We went with the fish. The plates came neatly prepared and the fusion of the taste was super. They also have amazing desserts and drinks. Staff are super friendly and nice
