My husband and I had a wonderful meal here. Kasia was an amazing server: her recommendations were spot on, and the food was delicious. Her suggestions for wine pairings were perfect. The tapas items were creatively curated with a fabulous mix of ingredients, creating a delightful culinary event. We heartily recommend this place - and the restaurant itself is visually beautiful, which completes the experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful, which we so appreciated. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Is there tapas food that is better close by which is also cheaper? Yes! Was the food at villa Valentina worth the money? No! Was the mocktails extraordinary? Yes! Was the interior wonderful? Absolutely! Was the staff good? For central Stockholm standard; yes! Will I come back? Yes for the mocktails and vibes not the food! I can say nothing about the alcohol because I didn’t order any. It’s a lovely stop in Slussen to have a chat and a plan the next move.
We had a lovely time at Villa Valentina. The place looked stunning. It was a nice sunny day and the atmosphere was lively and fun. Wengel was the best at helping and serving us at the table. Her energy was so bubbly and made the whole experience more enjoyable ❤️
An absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment you walk in, everything feels exceptional. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, every little detail has been thoughtfully designed, and the view over Stockholm is simply breathtaking. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted just as amazing as it looked. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel special throughout the evening. This is much more than just a restaurant—it's an experience. The only downside is that it's incredibly popular, so it can get quite crowded and noisy. But honestly, that's a small price to pay for such an outstanding place. Without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I've had in Stockholm. I can't wait to come back!
Pros - some of the best views of Stockholm from their terrace. Cons - convincing the hostess to seat us on the terrace. Villa Valentina is a fusion tapas restaurant that offers Spanish food with a slight nod towards Scandinavia. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for the quality. The terrace in summer time is unparalleled, and overlooks Gamla Stan, Lake Mälaren and the new Slussen pedestrian and bike crossing. The trick is getting to the terrace. We wandered by just after lunchtime and chatted with the hostess. She told us that tables on the terrace were first-come, first-serve. No problem, we thought, when we swing by for dinner we'll plan for a wait. When we arrived around 6'ish the hostess had forgotten our conversation, which is understandable. We explained again that we wanted to wait for a table on the terrace. What ensued was a bit bizarre. The hostess explained that our odds of getting a table there were so low we might as well accept an indoor table. She continued to espouse how impossible our request was, how *everyone* wanted a terrace seat, yada yada, on and on, to the point I finally asked, "Would you prefer we go elsewhere?" She finally seated us at a window looking out toward the terrace, while continuing to tell us just how difficult and improbable our terrace table fantasy was. Yet when we sat down we saw at least a half dozen empty tables on the mythically improbable terrace before us. Fortunately the manager, a very nice chap named Arias, listened patiently while we explained again our desire for a terrace seating. Five minutes later he moved us to a perfect terrace table with a stunning view. Our waitress Gwen-gen was equally delightful as was our food!
