It is a place that reminds you of the home cooking dishes you have during family gatherings. The place definitely offers the best environment among all authentic Chinese restaurants in Stockholm. Every dish was authentic, the waitress could tell you that which region in China every dish is from. I respect that since most of non-Chinese people misunderstand that Chinese cuisine is one simple cuisine, but the reality is for example the difference between Shanghai and Cantonese cuisines is like the difference between Swedish and Spanish cuisines. In terms of flavors, like I mentioned they tasted like good home cookings. So don’t have the wrong expectations on the foods being delicate. They are authentic and not bad, just like that. However the sauerkraut fish really needs improvement, the soup base was lack of umami and lack of complexity, both the fish and sauerkraut flavors were not brought out properly.
Food was excellent. The choices were great, for Stockholm, even the prices were good. And the service was excellent with good attendance to your needs and even helping you with the menu. Atmosphere is alright, but I blame it more on the floor design rather than decor choice. Can feel a bit cramped and dingy. But that doesn't take away from an excellent experience here.
Absolutely amazing food- definitely a must visit spot in Stockholm and I will visit again for sure❤️ It gets very busy, so reservations are a must!
The Chinese restaurant didn’t have any Chinese beer in stock. Jasmine lager and TsingTao were clearly missing and I can imagine the guy in the office calling office in china but maybe someone just tell him to call Menigo… The presentation of the menu was a bit inconsistent. The guy next table gave recommendations but the girl at our table didn’t say a word. The food was very good and tasty. It was authentic and fun. I loved the noodles, though some portions could have been slightly bigger for the price. It would be great if someone could apologise if you pointed out that you’d been charged too much for beverages. I understand mistakes happen and it’s normal but a simple apology would go a long way. ✌️
Fantastic food. Love the sichuan cuisine so many surprising flavours. We had a great time here. The marinated pork belly (Vinterns larou) was my favourite. The ginger tofu was also amazing. Will comeback again. Remember, the food takes a lot of flavour off the wine.
