We stayed for six nights at Hotel Frantz recently and had an incredible experience. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We will absolutely be back! All of the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly from the moment we got there. We were tired from travelling and they worked hard to have our room ready for us by early afternoon as we wanted to take a nap. The staff also provided some great local recommendations for things to do in Stockholm. The hotel and room were impeccably clean, and we found our room to be spacious compared to other hotels where we have stayed in Europe. This was great as we had our two daughters travelling with us. They loved the bunk beds. The morning breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel. They had so many options to choose from and the food was outstanding. The restaurant at the hotel was also great for dinner, drinks, and pre-dinner appetizers. The location of Hotel Frantz also cannot be beat. It is on the same block as the Slussen metro stop and a short walk from the Slussen harbor ferry station, which made it very easy to get around town. The hotel is also less than a block from Gotgatan, where there are numerous dining and shopping options. The neighborhood was great and we felt like we got a taste of life in Stockholm staying at Frantz. The location also made it very easy to get around town. We are so grateful to have found hotel Frantz and can't wait to return!

The hotel was pleasant, well-located near the old town and the metro. We had a fairly large room, but it was very cluttered with furniture, so there was very little space in the end. The staff was pleasant and attentive, but making restaurant reservations was complicated. Moreover, on the second day I had booked, we were seated at a bad table. In fact, no table had been reserved for our room. We were disappointed with the restaurant (and breakfast room), which is small and noisy. The portions served are ridiculously small, making it impossible to have a good evening at the restaurant; we left hungry. (!) The food is otherwise well-prepared, so it's a real shame to serve portions that are more like appetizers than a main course. We ate much better at other restaurants afterward. The hotel restaurant should be avoided; it also doesn't have a good wine list and has practically no organic wines. Finally, it's not possible to have a cake and coffee on the terrace in the afternoon, which is a bit of a shame. The somewhat family-run atmosphere makes the hotel pleasant, but that's about it.

Cosy boutique hotel with great location at Slussen. Breakfast is one of the best in Stockholm. Wine bar is excellent for an evening chat and drinks. Small evening meals are also really good. Subway from centralen tales you there in 2 stops.

If you are looking for a hotel that feels less like a sterile chain and more like a curated home, Hotel Frantz is the place to be. I recently spent five nights here on a solo trip, and it was worth every penny. For a solo female traveler, this hotel wasn't just a place to sleep; it was a true safe haven. The aesthetic is a beautiful blend of antique charm with a modern flare, feeling historic and storied yet perfectly updated for a modern traveler’s needs. My room was a highlight, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed and the ability to fully control the air and heat, which made for a perfect retreat at the end of the day. The service I received was genuinely exceptional and made me feel incredibly well-supported. The staff was kind enough to grant me an early check-in, which was a lifesaver after a long journey. Throughout my stay, they were proactive and helpful, whether they were hunting down a phone charger for me or being accommodating with room service requests. They even went the extra mile on Valentine’s Day by calling around to different restaurants to secure me a last-minute reservation. That level of personal care is rare and made a huge difference in my experience. Beyond the service, the atmosphere of the hotel is delightful. The bar area is cozy and inviting, and the dining areas always feature great music that sets a wonderful mood. Breakfast offered many high-quality options, ensuring I started every morning right. Additionally, the location is unbeatable; it is perfect for walking to local sights and sits right by the subway system for easy access to the rest of Stockholm. I definitely recommend Hotel Frantz, especially for women traveling solo who want a mix of style, safety, and genuine hospitality.
