Bar Lilla Compagniet

Recenzje
Long Island Iced Tea was very good. It’s quite rare in Stockholm, so extra points for having it on the menu and actually doing it well.
Great location, great cocktails, great vibe. Would be 5 stars but it’s dropped down to 3 because the bartender seems to hate every single person who walks in and has the audacity to order a drink somehow. Or maybe it’s just been me twice in a row? Not sure. But a place like this shouldn’t make you feel like a burden. It’s kinda funny but also a bit of a bummer obviously. Third times the charm maybe? We’ll see.
The drinks are great and no one ask you if you want 2 or 4 cl. They just do the drinks as intended. If you like cocktails, stronger drinks and great combinations, go. Kudos to the barattendant, was superb!
We tried two cocktails for 165 SEK each. The Flapper. It was drinkable, but the taste was clearly artificial – a very chemical syrup. The presentation was also inconsistent: other guests had a sugared rim while ours did not. Overall it was the most acceptable cocktail we tried today, but the cheap syrup was still noticeable. Smile per Galon. Basically just alcohol. Mostly strong spirit taste with a slight mango-alcohol aftertaste. No balance, just alcohol. I told the bartender that the drink didn’t work for me and that it mostly tasted like pure alcohol. His response was literally: “I will not change the cocktail, but I can make it less alcoholic.” He then added something to the drink (it looked like champagne), which made it even worse. At that point we didn’t want to argue and simply left the cocktail. I understand that these are signature cocktails and they are not supposed to please everyone. However, if you charge 160-165 SEK for a small cocktail, you should be prepared that occasionally a customer might ask for a replacement. Economically i assume it will not hurt the bar. In many cases it simply leads to better customer relations and good service. Of course nobody expects drinks to be replaced endlessly, but sometimes it is just part of hospitality. I also understand that bar culture can differ from country to country, and I may simply be used to a slightly different approach. But in this case the drink was refused to be changed so you have 330 SEK and honest rating.
