Dinner was an absolute triumph, a masterclass in balancing rich, traditional flavors with modern finesse. The evening began with a beef carpaccio that melted on the palate, followed by a duck liver that was simply sublime. However, the true star of the night was the Chantarelle sandwich. Served on perfectly textured rye bread, it featured a harmonious blend of earthy mushrooms, the sharp bite of Västerbottensost, and the luxurious pop of bleak roe, all tied together by the freshness of dill and a touch of sour cream. It was a truly unforgettable dining experience.
Swedish classics revisited through unusal taste combinations. Each small dish a discovery for your sight and for your tastebuds. Some you are reluctant to share. And a nice courtyard to sit in if weather permits.
On entering one gets a sense for the place. Cozy and confident, calm and active, that balance that marks a restaurant at the top of its game. The food achieves the difficult balance of staying true to inspiration while delivering expansion and innovation to the flavors. And for me at least the kitchen hits that perfect spot of salt where everything is seasoned and nothing tastes salty. Combined with absolutely lovely service from the staff, a not too long not too short well curated wine list, and a cocktail menu casually making craft bar level drinks and one sees why this absolutely ranks in the best of Stockholm.
Incredible, my favorite restaurant from my first trip to Stockholm. Unique cocktails and beautiful and complex and delicious dishes. The size of the plates are small so that may be a bit of a concern but as a solo traveler it means I was able to eat many things and not waste a thing
Hantverket has been such a great discovery in Stockholm. Everything was delicious, one of those dinners you enjoy from start to finish. Whether you live here or are just visiting the city, it’s a must. The food is amazing and the service makes it even better: they explain every dish so well and really make the whole experience special. You leave loving everything. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
