Sushi Sho

Excellent ingredients and an outstanding sake selection. The shari was a little too assertively seasoned for my taste, particularly with delicate white fish, though I appreciate that’s a matter of preference. Having had omakase in Japan, Singapore and Bangkok, I found Sho enjoyable but not especially memorable or surprising. The chef shaping nigiri with gloves also made the rice appear somewhat sticky and less elegant than expected. What puzzled me most was the ending: for a Michelin-starred omakase, I expected at least a small palate cleanser or sweet course. Instead, the meal simply stopped, which felt like a curious omission for an otherwise pleasant experience.
Wonderful food, the signature dish was v good. Service always friendly and welcoming, excited to try a sherry the sommelier recommended to purchase! Thanks!
Chef's choice at high speed. We were in and out in about 1,5 hours. To us, the meal was a bit rushed through - eg there was very little time to choose what to drink with the meal. We had expected local, wild caught fish in season like salmon, trout, garfish, perch, and maybe some nice prawns and langoustines from Norway. Instead, we were treated with some excellent seafood from mainly Spain - no complaint about the quality, but local it was not. Excellent rice! A veggie serving or two would have been nice. The service was confident, maybe a little too confident?
Had a great evening. Food was slightly underwhelming for this price tag. Was expecting higher level. Very good vibe though! Went there just before they got a Michelin star.
