Lovely location. But... When we went (July 2026) it's in the middle of major reconstruction and half of the location is a building site. Not tranquil! The newly constructed bits are made from cheap materials; lots of broken stone and plaster already, unfortunately. I don't think it'll look good in a few years time. Staff were all rather young and a bit inexperienced. Food was generally good. A bit of a schizophrenic menu though; at one time exclaiming "eko", "sustainable" attitudes and at the next menu item it was Argentinian grain-fed beef, which is about as bad for the environment as you can get. Lots and lots of glass-walled corridors in the new construction. Looks good but, here in July, it made things pretty sweltering and unpleasantly hot when inside. The spa is "okay". A couple of saunas, showers and a warm pool. No steam rooms/bubble pools etc. I make this sound bad, but it isn't really. We had a nice enough time! It's just not a patch on Yasuragi spa next door. Admittedly the prices here are a lot lower. But perhaps, if you can afford it, save up for Yasuragi.
Went there for a Spa day with lunch in May. Service for the lunch was terribly slow, it took one hour to get a salad. Hence, our spa time was reduced by more than an half hour, which is very annoying when the spa day is 3h00 long. The spa itself was nice, relaxing and the staff was really welcoming. The area around the spa is terrible, work everywhere, makes it very difficult to enjoy the view. I wish this was announced before booking for full transparency.
Grate souna and spa! Not nice dinning room! It was verey dark!!! The food is so simple and unusually extensive! If you book a spa hotel package you will receive a menu that is very complicated, three of the main courses is available if you pay maybe double price of a same dish in other restaurants!!! Recommended Spa but not the package at all!
Definitely not worth the price. Rooms were super boring , maybe to the hired interior designer ? Add a painting or flowers to brighten things up …? Also got overall a very church congregation outing feeling in the corridors etc, no spa vibes. Very basic mediocre breakfast as well. Also construction stuff everywhere outside, if you’re looking for a perfect romantic getaway , I would think twice.
