We had a great experience at lunch! The lobster roll is pricy, but very delicious. But the daily offer with veggies and salmon was even better, good clean tastes. Attentive and friendly service, nice interior and surrounding area as well.
Saw a post about European tips and suddenly remembered this one. The food I ordered is really not as good as advertised on the Internet. But to be fair, the green salad and beer are good. The problem occurs when paying the bill. This is my first meal in Stockholm, although I have also browsed posts about the vicious habit of giving tips in Nordic before, in the last five days in Copenhagen, there was no meal that I needed to choose the tip rate on the POS machine. If your staff wants me to tip, you can just tell me not to choose 0, please choose at least 5%, instead of choosing a 10% by yourself and then handing me over the POS to let me pay. When I paid it I thought fine it's okay, maybe tipping is expected in Sweden, even though I still thought "choosing for me" was absurd. However, during the next several days in Stockholm I didn't have to tip any single meal, so I realized that this restaurant was forcing me to tip. Many good restaurants selected 0 for me before I paid the bill, and some gave me the POS so I could choose the tip rate myself. Except for this one that helped me choose to ask for tips, no others did so. I really think it's bad to do this. After all, it's really 0 service.
The grilled octopus with the basil sauce was fabulous. The red sauce was a bit spicy. The price was reasonable. The dining area is small, you sit really close to each other. The restaurant is very popular: reserve a table is a must. If you’re done with eating, they ‘push’ you to pay so that other people can take your place.
Delicious although quite pricey. We had lobster rolls and a starter plate of 3 prawns. The lobster rolls didn’t come with any sides (other restaurants we tried in Stockholm and Copenhagen usually served this with salad). This came to over £100 GBP. My husband liked the lobster rolls — I thought they were good but a bit dry and slightly too salty. We made a reservation on their website — this is a must-do if you don’t want to wait or be turned away at the door. We saw many others being told there was a long wait.
