It's just that you feel really welcomed in this restaurant, than you take the menu,and you say to yourself just another Italian pizzeria but when you get the food you realize that it's prepared by top cook who knows the job quite good. The biggest surprise for me was the roasted beef in green peper sauce with filamented potato and roasted vegetables I think with mustard and honey that blow my mind . And I have traveled the world...
It was starting to rain so we luckily ducked into the first Italian restaurant we could find that had decent ratings. We were so pleasantly surprised by our choice. We started with the calamari which was excellent. For our main course we shared a pizza. Much to our surprise they prepared two smaller pizzas, although not that much smaller than a full size one. It was wonderful, perfectly prepared, and it was served to us by the chef personally. Our waiter was also great and they didn’t rush us letting us linger until the rain stopped. All in all a great choice for a night out.
The best restaurant in Old Town. I’ve been a loyal customer here for years, and throughout all this time, the quality of the food has remained consistently excellent, without any drop in taste or standards. The same goes for the staff, their warm, friendly, and professional attitude has never changed.
We normally don’t go to places with long cues of people waiting to be seated, fearing it might be a tourist trap, but I’m so glad we went in here! The food was delicious, the service was superb, and the atmosphere was so joyful and cozy.
1st visit - "I have a Romantic table ready just for you" Well with that invitation we entered this lovely restaunt being its our first visit in Sweden. Agaton continued to amaze us with culinary delights. We arrived for dinner at 6pm so it was not so busy. They have a variety of good dishes with a decent pricing. The waiter Erick was very attentive, professional, and exemplary overall. He was able to create a dish at our request to the chef. My dish was customized to how i like without truffle. The whole ambiance was very comfortable. From entree, main, dessert and wine it was all perfect. Great serving portions. We ordered garlic bread and special request for a garlic, cheese foccacia bread, ribe eye, lamb with mushroom risotto, creme brulee, prosecco sparkling wine and blended red wine. We will be back for NY's dinner. Worth a try if you want a nice romantic dinner or a chill quality dining experience. NEW YEARS EVE Dinner - Again, had a wonderful experience in celebrating new years eve @Agaton. The crew was on point with their service, regularly checking on us and our meals. Special requests were all accomodated. Had a set menu dinner and all dishes were great. Only comment is that the beef tenderloin could be cooked a little longer. Its was slightly on the raw side rather than med rare. Other than that, it was all amazing. I recommend to try this place as its has the quality from service to their food and price. 4th visit - Spent our last night dinner here at Agaton. The quality has been consistent from service up to the service they provide. Thank you for giving us a memorable experience. We had carbonara and frutti de mare pasta with our special request of foccacia garlic and cheese bread with prosecco wine. Thr seafood melts in your mouth and the carbonara was satisfying. Until our next Sweden visit. Continue the great service. Deserving a michelin star in my opinion.
