A wonderful Swedish restaurant and bar with a beautiful seaside location. The elegant atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service made for a memorable dining experience. Watching the cruise ships sail by while enjoying a perfectly prepared meal was truly special. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. If you’re looking for a lovely place to enjoy authentic Swedish cuisine with stunning waterfront views, this is definitely worth a visit. Sweden meat ball . Sea food & amazing cocktails.
I loved the restaurant! The Swedish meatballs were outstanding. Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with a great view of the water. Definitely going back next time I’m in Stockholm!
#throwback2023 A waterfront restaurant that feels like it was designed for people who enjoy good food but also secretly came for the view and will absolutely admit it after the second glass of wine. Set in Nacka Strand overlooking the Stockholm harbour, Restaurang J has that laid back New England maritime vibe mixed with Scandinavian clean design. Wooden interiors, nautical touches and large windows that basically insist you stare outside between bites. The food leans fresh and coastal, with seafood and simple well executed dishes that match the setting rather than compete with it. Nothing overly complicated, just solid cooking that lets the location do a lot of the talking. What makes it memorable is the atmosphere. Boats passing slowly, reflections on the water, and that calm waterfront energy that makes time feel slightly less urgent than usual. It is the kind of place where lunch quietly turns into a long afternoon without anyone really objecting.
Amazing food, good mix of Swedish classics and some other fusions. Super friendly service 👌🏻
I had the tuna steak and sufflé for dessert. The tuna steak was well cooked and seasoned and was very high quality. Unfortunately they chose to serve it with french fries and chili mayo, which was also served with half the other dishes on the menu, which seems very lazy and didn’t fit the tuna at all! The service was slow and a bit rude and my chair was broken when I arrived, but the view and location is amazing! They redeemed themselves with the dessert though, one of the best sufflés I’ve had! It was so good I forgot to grab a picture until it was almost gone!
