Skagen was delicious. Reindeer stew will knock your socks off. The fried herring we had was solid, but nothing extra special. We had a rhubarb pie cocktail which was also amazingly tart with a delicious spiced whipped topping. Our server was warm and friendly.
A well known tavern in the central Stockholm area. Very busy usually in the evenings, I recommend reserving a table a head of time. The food was excellent and the service was fast. We tasted the Tartar, Red Deer and mushroom dumplings. If you have any questions please reach out. This place is 10/10!!!
Incredible experience. Super friendly staff, who are kind and helpful to non-Swedish people. The herring was incredible. It was lightly fried so not too heavy. Generous portion. The atmosphere is very cool, it’s a 100 year old pub, popular among football fans so there’s lots of memorabilia on the walls. Beautifully kept.
Start with toast skagen, it is so delicious. For main course I ate reindeer. Meet and souce are tasty but , red berries on it , is not for me. Decoration is good. And finally staffs, especially blonde woman who shows place for clients and greek waiter are soo helpfull and cute.
Five stars isn't enough! The gods were smiling on us when they led us here. The vibes, welcome and food were all superb! First let's start with the friendly welcome by Petra who took us to a warm, protected table. (I wouldn't have minded sitting at one of the benches next to other locals, the vibe was cheerful and welcoming.) Then we had the good fortune of being guided by Andreas, a fantastic servitor who made excellent, pesonalized suggestions as to dishes and drink, including a great IPA and cosmos to get things rolling. Our food consisted of the SOS and Gubrörra herring appetizers, the extraordinary fried herring and steamed skrei cod for mains, and the Swedish cheese cake for dessert, accompanied by great glasses of wine and finally a wonderful Moscatel for dessert. Everything was perfect and we felt fortunate indeed to have landed in such wonderful company. Hoping fervently the gods allow us to come back! Oh yes, the gents' wc is a delight.
