So much fun! Although it is very touristy, the food and the entertainment were amazing! You can feel medieval times with the music, with the clothes that waiters and waitresses were wearing and with cutlery. Recommendations are required but still you can find a table or get a drink in the bar area.
Touristy? Yes. Fun experience? Also yes. We had a great time from the moment we were "announced" to the room, to the time we left. We ordered the plate for 2 people that comes with lamb, chicken and steak, and found it enough to feed 2 hungry people for 3 people wanting a lighter meal. The lamb was the best of the 3. The appetizer with the meats and cheese was really good with the Reindeer being our favorite. Overall, tour experience depends a bit on you and your interaction with others at the table. We were paired with two other couples that we had to get talking, but we made the most of it. The room was loud and vibrant and enjoyable.
A very fun, although touristy, place in Stockholm's old town! The atmosphere was super lively and there was live music playing in the background. The food itself was also delicious, which we weren't expecting, since it seems rather touristy. Definitely try the mead! Would definitely recommend booking weeks in advance, since it seems always full.
The best atmosphere ever. I have been almost everywhere in Europe but this is the top pub ever. Absolutely viking atmosphere, where everybody is welcome personally with the horn to the whole feast like you are a Roman emperor. Amazing traditiona delicious l food and drinks, the personal is absolutely welcoming. You can enjoy the live music on antic instrument. You should be there to feel it!
What a great time! Our children gave us a gift cert to this restaurant. It was a fun experience from the moment we were "announced" and through dinner and the entertainment. The food was good and the period tools were cool. The service, entertainment with period instruments, and atmosphere were awesome and really made it a memorable experience. Note, this trip was in 2017. I would recommend this restaurant experience to everyone.
