Having done the very enjoyable Stockholm highlights cruise a couple of days before, we were excited to try this trip too. The views were amazing, the little bar adequate and the old ship interesting...but... 1. Don't expect to have seats to yourself. Every seat will be filled and sadly, we saw some passengers who did not appear to have any seat at all in the inside cabin where we were. 2. There isn't a lot of space outside the ship to stand or sit in. However, as you can see from the pics, the views are gorgeous and were taken from the bow of the ship. Look out for a small metal step there which many people miss but is perfect for standing on!
The crew were friendly, and the cruise itself was good. However, there was far to little space for the tickets sold. The few comfortable seats were occupied by the first boarders the whole trip, leaving most guests to circulate between standing inside or sitting on camping chairs outside.
We did the lunch archipelago tour and would recommend it. A few items to note: - highly recommend opting for the lunch as this way your seats are reserved in the dining room up top (no need to line up as without the lunch option it's first come first serve). It's also heated so a great bonus in colder weather - line ups can form early and it's a popular tour - we came 20mins before and were in the back of a very long line - highly recommend booking in-advance - the protective plastic cover that they use outside in cold weather is great at protecting you from the elements but downside is the window portion are scuffed up limiting the view - lunch service is really good and the food was great as well. - the tour guide is great however in the dining room with all the noise it was hard to hear them Overall would recommend the tour
We did the 2.5 hour archipelago tour with guide. The boat itself was nice and the team & tour guide were fantastic and friendly. We found the tour to be informative and funny, it was an overall good experience we were glad we did it We do however have a lot of feedback for the team! We understand that weather can be unpredictable, but we feel the boat should be better equipped or the boat should be less busy in these times When we arrived 20 minutes early, there was already a queue to board the boat. There was no cover available so we had to wait in the rain. The team could have checked our tickets while we waited rather than check them on entering the boat. This would have been more efficient and stopped us from getting wetter Further, when on the boat, there weren't enough indoor seats for everyone. Even though the outdoor decks were covered, it was still cold. The majority of people ended up standing inside to avoid the cold on the upper decks. This meant the view was blocked and windows became steamed up. The boat should have been less booked in our opinion and the outdoor should be equipped with electric heaters. While blankets were provided, the guides made it clear they were limited and there wasnt much more they could do. For the price charged, I felt this ruined the experience for many and cold weather must be common in Stockholm With these improvements the tour could be fantastic!
