Svea Hostel
Stockholm

I stayed here in late June with two friends (17/18yrs) and we had a great experience! We stayed in the 3 bed private room. The staff were incredibly welcoming and we genuinely enjoyed every conversation and story. We even sat and watched a world cup match with Reza, one of the staff members, and had a great time (ask Reza for 2nd hand clothing store suggestions!) The entire place was very clean, and the toilets and showers were fully private and located in individual lockable rooms. The area is great as well and located next to a station. We recommend Svea Hostel to anybody making a trip to Stockholm!
The hostel is 20 min walking from T-Centralen station, it is clean and spacious and the holders are nice and very attentive. I highly appreciated my stay at Svea hostel.
It was very clean and the staff was great. It also had a peaceful and quiet environment which was very enjoyable.😍🌸
While it is intriguing, it is not uncommon practice to remove your shoes before entering, a custom rarely observed in Europe. The second and most astonishing aspect was the receptionists, who were very kind and friendly, inquiring whether I would like to rent bed linens for the duration of my stay. Initially, I was perplex, possibly due to accent differences, prompting me to ask again. The staff clarified that blankets and pillowcases could be rented for $7.50. As an experienced traveler, I was quite shocked, having never encountered a request for payment for essential sleeping accommodations. This situation is akin to issuing a plane ticket without a seat assignment. Nonetheless, both the staff and the manager were courteous and waived the fee, as this charge was not indicated in my email confirmation. The bed was comfortable, and the room, though small, was suitable for a stay of one or two nights. I occupied a single room, which offered privacy compared to shared accommodations typical of hostels. The bathroom was located outside the room, and the shower, nearby, both shared facilities rather than private amenities. The Wi-Fi was excellent, and the neighborhood was excellent—close to the train station, numerous restaurants, and buses. The only negative aspect, aside from the bedding charges, was the condition of the linens provided as amenities, as both the towel and comforter were stained and appeared unhygienic, which made me hesitant to use them. It is noteworthy that, since there is an additional charge for these items, guests should be cautious, as linens may arrive in poor condition.
I stayed here with two friends this week and LOVED IT. I only have the best and most positive words to describe my experience and feel so so so thankful for how wonderfully we were taken care of!!! Bahram’s kindness blew us away - he even gifted me some apples as snack for the flight home! More small businesses like this and more people like Bahram in the world!!!!❤️
