⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A true hidden gem in the heart of Gamla Stan! The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and beautifully designed, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring Stockholm’s old town. The coffee was excellent, the desserts were fresh and delicious, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Every detail, from the décor to the service, made the experience feel special. If you’re looking for a charming café with great quality and a peaceful vibe, Old Town Lantern is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back next time I’m in Stockholm!
Very cozy restaurants with tasty food. Loved the vibe and our server was friendly! Definitely recommend the borscht soup! Super flavorful and decent price. Most of the meals on the menu were quite expensive and the portions weren't that big. We tried the vareniki as well and although they were delicious we felt like the dish was lacking something, like a side or something since the dumplings were pretty one-note. The desserts, syrniki and medovik, were both great! Both worth trying out! Just a heads up that there might be a bit of wait for the food. I don't know if it was just a bad time for us to stop by, but even though there weren't too many people we had to wait for our food and then especially the desert for quite a long time. It didn't really bother us, but would have been uncomfortable if we had a tighter schedule. Would come again for the soup!
I wanderered in after reading the Google reviews, and they were right on target. Delicious food in an amazing old structure... So many choices. We ordered the Borscht, Mushroom Soup, and Beef Stroganoff... They were all amazing, delicious and beautifully presented. Too many places forget that you eat first with your eyes! The mushroom soup is not to be missed!
If you’re in Stockholm make sure you stop here in Gamla Stan. Easily the best meal I’ve had so far. Lunch specials. Get the panbiff and verniki. It’s delicious. Authentic. Great, cozy, cave vibe. Service is great too.

The food is beautiful and delicious, the service is very friendly, they will gladly recommend dishes and explain everything you are interested in about food. They are also very friendly, they will make your lunch an unforgettable experience with a pleasant conversation about local things in Stockholm. If you want something more than a good lunch, this is the right place for you. I will definitely come back again. 🥰☺️🫶🇸🇪
