Description

This trip is all about catching winter magic: Nordic Skating on a frozen lake with firelit torches showing the way. Enjoying the cozyness of a fire under the star- and moon light, and maybe even the magical phenomen of Aurora Borealis! We will most likely find our selves alone on the ice! The first lap you will do together with your guide, during which they will judge the ice safety and set the course for the evening by firelit torches. Afterwards you can skate at your own pace, taking in the magic. On this tour, you will get more time to yourself compared to our Nordic Skating Day Trip. Meaning you don’t have to stick together as a group. You can take as many (or as few!) laps as you wish. Your guide will always be around, to give tips, tell stories or help you individually if necessary. If you are mostly excited about the skating, we recommend that you look at Guided Natural Ice Skating Tour with Lunch & Fika instead, where we chase black ice and the magic of Skating. It is possible to combine both tours, actually we recommend it to get the most out of the different experiences!

Important Information

  • Please remember that the weather conditions are out of our control, and there is no ice guarantee. If the ice conditions are not safe we will do our best to organize an alternative activity (most likely a winter hike) on the date you are booked with your approval, or refund. However last winter season, we haven't had one single excursion on which we weren't able to skate.
  • You don't need to contact us beforehand to check the ice conditions.
  • By booking, you agree to take full responsibility for any accident that may occur during the trip.
  • Please note, this is an active excursion; it's best to wear breathable material that dries quickly. Avoid cotton if possible. Wool and polyester, worn in multiple layers, are best. Make sure to bring an extra layer for during the break.
  • There are no guarantees of Northern Lights, cloudless skies with big moons or other natural conditions that are out of our control. We take you to the place with the best forecast right now!
