We stayed at Downtown Camper for two nights while visiting Stockholm for a concert and had a fantastic stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home from the beginning. The rooms were spacious, with very comfortable beds, and everything was well designed for a relaxing stay. We also loved the great range of activities available, such as yoga and kayaking, which add something special to the hotel experience. The location is perfect for a city trip to Stockholm—within walking distance of many major attractions, with excellent connections to the airport as well. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Stockholm!
I recently stayed at Downtown Camper by Scandic, and while there is a lot to love, a few missing details held it back from a perfect stay. The Highlights • Prime Location: You can't beat the location. It’s incredibly central, making it the perfect "basecamp" for exploring Stockholm. Most major attractions and the central station are just a short walk away. • Fantastic Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was a standout. There’s a huge variety of high-quality, fresh options that catered to every craving. Definitely the best part of the morning! The Disappointments • Missing Amenities: For a hotel in this price range, I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of basic in-room amenities. There were no slippers or toothbrushes provided in the room. • Value for Money: While the hotel brands itself with an "urban explorer" vibe, at this price point, you expect those small comforts to be standard. Having to head down to their shop to purchase "life's necessities" felt a bit like being nickel-and-dimed after paying for a premium room. The Verdict: It’s a trendy, well-located hotel with food that hits the mark, but make sure to pack your own vanity kit!
My wife and I had a perfect stay here on our recent trip to Stockholm! I'm usually really picky with hotels, and this exceeded every expectation that I had. We were able to check in early, and our room was really spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel has a very cool explorer/outdoor traveler kind of theme to it and is really trendy. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and there are actually events every day which are available for free! I wound up doing a little walking tour to Gamla Stan which was very enjoyable. The Nest on the top floor was also a nice way to end our stay here, and it's discounted if you stay at the hotel. Location is excellent - super close to public transportation and in a great spot for walking many places as well. I'm glad I stayed here and would pick it again!
