Reviews
11 course tasting menu was superb, it included a tour of the kitchen with two tastings at the kitchen counter, all cooked with burning wood coals and flames. The wine pairings were amazing too! Three hours of blissful enjoyment.
Excellent food, excellent service and amazing atmosphere. A unique experience from start to end. First a warm welcome in the lounge with champagne and small starters. Then a tour through the kitchen meeting the chefs and experiencing the unique cooking first hand, tasting a few small course prepared for you at the kitchen table over fire. Then you go to your table and with an excellent service get your main courses with excellent wine pairings with fun backgrund stories. After the main courses you go back to the lounge to get coffee, som small sweet courses and an avec. All in all a unique experience. One can only wonder when they will get the second Michelin star.
This restaurant in excellent in experiencing the traditional Nordic cooking experience. The use of birch and open flames are definitely unique and very Scandinavian, however I was the only one in my party who had the vegetarian menu which felt lacking in certain aspects and wasn’t up to caliper with the creatively and imagination I was expecting at the given price point. For that reason I will give the food 4/5 but every other element was done perfectly!
This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The tasty and sophisticated bites served with a cocktail in the salon, to the kitchen tour with demonstration of the fabulous cooking process (that Norwegian oyster was divine!), and the inviting and lively dining room where the courses were even spaced and featuring a new and exciting flavor for every last one was really something to remember. The fika towards the end was the perfect cap to an amazing evening. I'm so glad my brother and I made this reservation, thank you!
