Description
Welcome/Willkommen! Our Bike Tour gives you a summary of Stockholm in just a few hours. You will feel well informed about the 'Capital of Scandinavia' afterwards and ready to start exploring on your own. We learn about Stockholm's dark past and colorful present, as we enjoy the beautiful architecture around us and breathtaking water surroundings. From our starting point at Odenplan it takes us 15 minutes to get to the Old Town and Riddarholmen Island, where we pass by the oldest building of Stockholm. 3,5 out of the 4 hours described is actual tour time. Finishing point is the same as starting/meeting point. After leaving the Old Town and the Royal Palace behind us, we experience the beautiful National Park of Djurgården where we bike past the ABBA Museum, the Vasa, and many more sights along the way. After taking a well deserved break at the lovely Rosendal Garden, we hop back up on our bikes and explore the Paris-inspired boulevards of Östermalm, the fancier residential area filled with beautiful architecture, where we make a stop at the famous Östermalm Food Hall (oldest in Stockholm). Of course, we make time for the City area including the Parliament, Royal Opera House, Royal Theatre, as well as the Raoul Wallenberg Square (Swedish WWII hero). For the Nature interested, we pass by both of the two main ports downtown with boats departing to the massive Stockholm archipelago, consisting of more than thirty thousand islands. For the Shopping interested, we also cover the different Shopping areas downtown! We mix active biking with plenty of stops along the way, for you to catch your breath and take memorable pictures. Your group will enjoy two short 'Fika' breaks along the way and your guide will have a speaker attached to his/her bike, playing our playlist from Spotify (Swedish company!) filled with famous Swedish bands and songs between the stops. - The bike tour involves cycling of varied speed and outdoor conditions, so a moderate level of fitness is required. ONE SIZE on bikes, no child sizes. Rec. height: from 155cm/5´1'. Age limit: 15 years+ NO lockers to leave bags. Only the bicycle basket for normal sized bags.
