How to get to and from Stockholm's airports

When traveling to Stockholm there are plenty of options on how to get to and from the airport. Stockholm has three airports, Arlanda, Bromma, and Skavsta, and you can choose between traveling with airport coaches, taxi, Uber, limousine, trains, local buses, and in the case of Arlanda, high-speed trains.
 
Arlanda Airport
Stockholm’s biggest airport is Arlanda. Arlanda is located 40 kilometers from central Stockholm.
 
The quickest way to get to the city from Arlanda is with the Arlanda Express. The high-speed train takes about 20 minutes and departs every 15 minutes. The platform is located underneath the arrival terminals for easy access. However, traveling with the Arlanda Express can be expensive if they don’t have any sale campaigns. One adult ticket costs 295 SEK.

 
A more cost-effective way to travel to central Stockholm is with the Airport Coaches, Flygbussarna. The coaches depart every 10-15 minutes, and the trip takes about 35-50 minutes depending on where you choose to get off. One adult ticket costs 99 SEK.
 
Commuter trains, Pendeltåg, can also take you to and from Arlanda. If you’re traveling from Stockholm C, you can take train J38 to Arlanda. The trip will take 38 minutes and costs 152 SEK, the price includes the passage fee you have to pay when entering the airport terminals from the trains. Read more here
 
The easiest way to get to and from any airport is of course with a taxi. If you book a ride with Taxi Stockholm  the driver will meet you at the arrival terminal with a sign and take you to your destination. Read more here
 

Uber is another easy way to get to and from the airport. To use Uber you have to download the app. In the app, you can order, and pay for, your travels. Bromma Airport
Bromma Airport is located in the area Bromma, in Stockholm. The airport is smaller than Arlanda Airport but closer to the city.
 
To and from Bromma Airport you can travel with the Airport Coaches, Flygbussarna. The coaches depart every 20 minutes, and it takes about 20 minutes to travel to Stockholm City. An adult ticket costs 75 SEK.
 
You can also travel to and from Bromma Airport with the local buses. You can either take bus 110 or bus 152. One adult ticket costs 45 SEK without an SL Access card, and 32 SEK with an SL Access card.
 
Skavsta Airport
Skavsta Airport is actually not located in Stockholm, but in Nyköping. It is about 100 kilometer between central Stockholm and Skavsta Airport.
 
To and from Skavsta Airport you can take the Airport Coaches, Flygbussarna. The coaches depart 20 - 40 minutes after the arrival of the plane. It takes 80 minutes to travel to central Stockholm and one adult ticket costs 159 SEK.
