Wine & Beer Experiences in Stockholm

If you’re into wine or beer (or just looking to try something new), Stockholm has some surprisingly cool spots and experiences that go beyond your usual bar crawl.

Take a walk down to Södermalm and you’ll find tiny neighbourhood joints like Akkurat, a beer bar many locals swear by for rare brews and a laid-back vibe. Or, if wine’s more your thing, head over to Vasastan where places like Folii serve an ever-changing list of natural and organic wines,you'll pick up a few Swedish favourites and some unexpected finds from Europe.

And don’t overlook the guided tours and tastings either. A couple of my friends took a craft beer tour around Kungsholmen last fall and raved about how the guide shared stories behind each brewery you visit. What’s cool is that these tours often take you to smaller producers that aren’t on tourist radars. One tip: if the weather’s decent, enjoy your pint outside by the water near Djurgården,you’ll soak in the views of the city while sipping on locally brewed ales.

One last heads up: many of the best wine and beer bars in Stockholm have limited hours during weekdays and close earlier on Sundays, so plan accordingly. Relaxed pours and good company? That’s the real Stockholm vibe.
