A perfect way to explore Stockholm during the summer is by bicycle. Stockholm is filled with bike paths and bike lanes so you easily and safely can get around the city. You can even ride your bike between the islands, and explore the beautiful nature and water while enjoying the city from the bicycle seat.
Stockholm, Sweden’s capital, is a gold mine for fashion interested tourists. The city is filled with practical malls and shopping centers and independent boutiques.
On July 1 this year it became illegal to smoke in certain public outdoor areas in Sweden. When visiting from abroad it can be tricky to figure out where you’re allowed to smoke or not when in Stockholm, or any other Swedish city.

When traveling to Stockholm there are plenty of options on how to get to and from the airport. Stockholm has three airports, Arlanda, Bromma, and Skavsta, and you can choose between traveling with airport coaches, taxi, Uber, limousine, trains, local buses, and in the case of Arlanda, high-speed trains.
The biggest shock for people visiting from abroad is not usually Systembolaget in its self, but the stores very strict opening hours. But whe you actually know the rules, it’s not as complicated as it may seem at first.

Djurgården is known for its many attractions and for its nature with many old oaks. A large part of the island Djurgården is occupied by the open-air museum Skansen and the amusement park Gröna Lund.
Gamla Stan, or the Old Town as it translates to in English, is the historic city center of Stockholm and one of Stockholm’s most visited tourist attractions. Gamla stan is where Stockholm was founded in 1252, and today it consists of beautiful grand buildings and townhouses, many of which are in a beautiful rust or mustard color, cobbled streets, and squares.
Stockholm city (innerstad in Swedish) is the most central part of Stockholm's inner city within the district Norrmalm. The area is not formally established, but most Stockholmers would consider anything inside the tolls as city. In 1622 the tolls were established but today the only tolls you will see are congestion fees.
Södermalm, in everyday speech Söder, is a neighborhood located in the inner city of Stockholm. Some of the more well-known streets and squares on Södermalm are Götgatan (mentioned by name 1644), Hornsgatan and Mariatorget.
